Our story
It began with a little girl who had once been kept apart from her mother, and who decided that nothing would ever come between them again.
When the family moved to a new country, the first years were not easy. Money was tight, and worry crept into everyday life. Ohana, then only five years old, decided she wanted to help, by creating. She began selling her own drawings to passers-by, with one simple idea in mind: she wanted to make sure her mom would have enough money to keep her safe with her.
People stopped.
They looked.
They bought.With her first coins, Ohana bought beads and threads instead of sweets. She replicated the bracelets her mom used to send her while they were kept apart, bracelets loaded with her love.What began as a little girl's idea quickly became something more. Sophia, her mother, an artist and entrepreneur, saw the spark in her daughter and began creating alongside her. Together, they imagined a first collection, not simply as clothes, but as a way of expressing what had brought them there in the first place: the joy of being and creating together. And so, Maison Orayat was born.Today, that same little girl designs full collections with her mother, from a single matching bracelet to complete looks made to be worn together. Maison Orayat exists because a five-year-old once decided that she would turn her pain of having been taken away from her mom into beauty and resilience.Because sometimes, a house begins with a collection.
And sometimes, it begins with a little girl who simply refused to let go of her mother's hand.
Why Orayat
Ohana always dreamed of dressing just like her mom - the same fabric, the same color, the same story.
They looked for a brand that could make that dream real: premium yet affordable, with designs elegant and timeless enough to wear for years, not just a season.It didn't exist.So they decided to create it themselves.That's how Maison Orayat was born - the brand Ohana always wished she could find, so she and her mom could show up in the world dressed as one, without ever compromising on quality or style.
